Happy Adoption Day Amy Evelyn Westhora!

On Saturday March 14, 2009 we stood in a courtroom while a Judge pronounced "Evi" as our child, and Tom and I as her parents! It was a very short and sweet ending to a very long, and complicated case. My sister Becky and her husband Ryan and two boys Levi and Luke were there along with my mom and of course our kids. When the judge asked us to raise our hands and swear "to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth", Isaac raised his hand high and answered with us, "Yes". Evi jumped from lap to lap and came over and hugged me as the judge said the words, "You now bear the relationship of parents and child". It was neat. What an unexpected journey we ended up taking. How grateful we are that it ended the way it did. Thank you Heavenly Father! Thank you so much!
